Nepal Secures 2nd: Global Junior Robotics Challenge 2025

Nepal has proudly clinched second place in the prestigious Junior Robotics for Good Youth Challenge 2025, held in Geneva, Switzerland. Competing against talented youth teams from 25 countries, Nepal’s junior team showcased exceptional innovation and technical skills, earning global recognition in the field of robotics and AI.

A Triumph of Innovation: Competing Against the World’s Best

The Robotics for Good Youth Challenge is a high-stakes competition that attracts bright young minds from around the world. Team Gautam Buddha successfully navigated this global arena, surpassing over 7,000 participants and more than 500 teams from 25 countries.

While the competition was ultimately won by Venezuela, who took first place with a five-point lead, Nepal’s second-place finish highlights the significant capabilities of the young Nepali participants and their mentors.

The team received expert guidance and mentorship from the Robotics Association of Nepal (RAN). Rishav Raj and Kiran Khatri served as mentors, with RAN President Bikash Gurung acting as an advisor.
