The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) is inviting national professionals to apply for the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Specialist role based in Kathmandu, Nepal. Position At a Glance

Key Responsibilities
- Provide first-line onsite support (hardware/software troubleshooting).
- Coordinate installation and maintenance of ICT systems per FAO standards.
- Support network access, internet connectivity, and minor tech maintenance.
- Assist with software upgrades and facilitate Zoom/MS Teams meetings.
- Provide technical backup for events, trainings, and workshops.
- Maintain ICT inventories and documentation.
Required Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in ICT, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of relevant professional experience (information and communications technology, information systems, Information Technology, Computer Science).
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, networking, and office tech.
- Proficiency in English and Nepali; Nepalese national required.
- Core UN competencies: results‑oriented, team player, continuous learner, relationship builder.
Selection Criteria
- Good knowledge of computer operation of the MS Office applications, Internet and office technology equipment
- Extent of technical and practical experience on the day-to-day operational activities of the project or programmes.
- Communication, writing and presentation skills in English and Nepali.
- Ability to work with a multidisciplinary and multicultural team.
