The base model offers a 42 kWh battery with a 404 km range, while the top-spec variant features a 51.4 kWh battery, delivering an ARAI-certified range of up to 490 km. These competitive prices make it one of the most accessible 7-seater EVs in India.

Powertrain and Performance

Powered by a front-axle electric motor, the Carens Clavis EV produces 169 BHP and 255 Nm of torque, achieving 0-100 km/h in 8.4 seconds. It offers two battery options: a 42 kWh pack for 404 km and a 51.4 kWh pack for 490 km (ARAI). The EV supports DC fast charging (10-80% in ~40 minutes with an 80 kW charger) and features Kia’s i-Pedal technology for one-pedal driving and adjustable regenerative braking for enhanced efficiency.

Design and Exterior Features

The Carens Clavis EV retains the boxy MPV silhouette of its ICE counterpart but introduces EV-specific styling. A sealed-off front grille houses the charging port, complemented by a full-width LED light bar, triple-pod LED headlamps, and aero-optimized 17-inch alloy wheels. Available in six color options, including Pewter Olive and Ivory Silver Gloss, it blends modern aesthetics with practicality.

Interior and Technology

Inside, the Carens Clavis EV boasts a premium dual-tone black and white cabin with twin 12.3-inch displays for infotainment and instrumentation. Key features include a panoramic sunroof, wireless charging, dual-zone climate control, ventilated front seats, and an 8-speaker Bose audio system. The floating center console maximizes storage, while the 7-seater layout ensures spacious third-row seating.
